Fresh Boudin Purchased from the Warmer

Microwave in 45 second intervals until the desired temperature.

Frozen Boudin

Bring a pot of water to a boil. Once boiling, place the frozen boudin in the pot. The water should just cover the boudin. Immediately turn the heat to simmer until the boudin is firm- APPROXIMATELY 20 minutes. Do to boil the boudin and do not overcook.

Thawed Boudin

Fill a pot with enough water that the boudin is covered when it’s added in the pot. Heat the water until it’s steaming before adding boudin, do not add boudin to boiling water. Cook in steaming water for 15 minutes without allowing it to come to a boil to keep the boudin from busting. Carefully remove the boudin links after 15 minutes and allow to cool for a couple of minutes before serving. Serve in whole links or snip with kitchen scissors to cut the links into smaller pieces.

Grilled Boudin

Place thawed or frozen boudin on the grill until the skin is crispy. Fire should be approximately 350°. Do not place it over the direct flame.
